Selamat Menyambut Ramadhan Al-Mubarak

The players of Redbacks FC wishes all Muslim players and their families a fulfilling Ramadhan. Hopefully everyone will benefit from this magical month. Looking forward to seeing everyone return for the second season of AFL. Therefore, rest well and enjoy the break to the fullest.

Perhaps the committee should look into organizing an iftar for the players. I feel that would be an excellent get-together, wouldn’t it?

Take care everyone and keep watching the EPL, La Liga and Champions League for your dose of weekly soccer! Another reminder: don’t indulge in the delicious food too much. Stay in shape!

Smells Like Teen Spirit

The Spiders were in a relaxed mood and with their minds on the upcoming spiritual break, perhaps this loss will not bother them too much. Almost the entire team turned up late and the pace of the game was almost pedestrian at times.

Aiman continued to find the net after running onto a long punt by keeper Sharizan. He steadied himself and rifled the ball for the opening goal. After that, the youngsters took full control, creating chance after chance and scoring a few. We had our own chances too but failed to hit the target. The half ended 2-1 in the youngsters’ favour.

The Redbacks conceded two quick goals early in the second half, leaving us with an uphill task of getting back into the game.  Mohktar and Mokhzani scored tw goals in the space of five minutes to give the Redbacks a glimmer of hope. However, that only served to spur the youngsters on as they scored another 3 goals to win the game in emphatic fashion.

AFL Participation

We have confirmed our paritcipation  in the next season AFL tournament as per our team discussion on the 02 Sep 07.

Those who had settled the due will be under the tournament player list and those existing Redbacks who have not paid will not be in the player list but as and when they turn up for game, they will considered guest player and have pay a certain amount that will be decide later to be put to the team fund.

Another Sunday, another wonderful win, the football was simply brilliant, fantastic teamwork simple football.

Shahrizan – Superb between the post.

Zaini – Majestic performance, tireless.

Fauzi – New found position where not a foot wrong. Super.

Bob – Fiery.

Rizal – Ellegantly played.

Nordin – As usual, brilliant, tireless.

Aziz – Fantastic contribution down the flanks, has the initiative to switched play with Fauzi.

Mokman – Fitness getting better, wonderful taken goal, one cool finish. Could be more.

Imran – Always there, presence is as important as scoring the goals.

Aiman – The first goal is an absolutely beauty, leaving the keeper hapless and the opponent’s keeper was a good one too. Tormented the defence like it was none existance.

Hishamudin - Your support and presence is moral boosting presence for the team, we salute you.

We’ll be playing our last game before Ramadhan next week.
