i must say that the people who organised the trip plus the drivers have done a brillant job! Both me and my girlfriend, Nureen had a great time! Everyone was very accomodating and full of fun! Looking forward to our next trip!!

Though we were up against a veterans’ team, they are no push-overs! They hit long balls harder than any young player! 1st half was pretty shaky as some of us still has butterflies in our stomaches! But kudos to our anchormen and backline, we managed to keep the score level at the break…

2nd half started off with a bang for us! Nordin’s presence was instantly felt as he too provided many attempted through balls, one that led Ming to score his goal! Ming i must say, you are re-discovering your scoring touch! But dun get carried away, there’s loads of room for improvement BRO!! Fauzi, i have to admit that it was hell of a save you made! You can be a very good keeper so continue to improve bro! The BIG brothers of the team: Azhar, Bob, Ajiz, Abang Sani plus the rest, really admire all your passion on and off the pitch man!! Jaz, really sorry to see you injured! Pls heal fast and come back soon man.. Kai, raizal and Sham(s) … you all really played with heart!

No doubt, we can be a force to be reckon with, especially on that night without Sharizan,Faiz, Mok… Redbacks managed a priceless away win that will be remembered deeply in my memory, not because of my goals… but because of the TEAMWORK we displayed that night!

We played well in patches but the support of all players was truly commendable.I could hear voices everywhere…in the pitch and from the sidelines…it was like a choir in motion…perhaps if we could just have a conductor and it would be poetry in motion…It was a memorable trip and we had fun.

Redbacks Boleh…

Yet another M.K.P.L performance!(Menang,Kalah,Pemain Lepak!) Typical Redbacks. We came,we enjoyed,we ate and ate.The Veterans were indeed overwhelmed by the marauding Redbacks,who had their fair share of Veterans too,ie;Abg “Rilek” Sani and Wan “Cannot Score One”.

I truly enjoyed the glowing performances of Oggy Ahmad Daud,who never seemed daunted by whatever position he plays in,especially as a keeper.At least the mystery of your slippery fingers at times is finally solved.(Cut the porn)

Wan Kecik was a Malek Awab in the making.He can run all night like an Energiser bunny,but if Wan “Cannot Score One” does not support him,poor Wan Kecik.Good job Wan Kecik!

Ming was a bundle of positive energy,coming in and out and in again and then finally scoring.Keep the enthusiasm.The learning curve was there for you to experience.

The bulk of the team was commendable as usual,performing as expected.Ajis missing a clearance as expected,Aki diving for a foul as usual,Sharm Bai running everywhere as usual,Azam needing a break as usual,Raizal flicking balls up in the air as usual,Wan not scoring as usual,Abg Sani playing like an S League veteran as usual,Captain screaming at Ajis at usual,Bob and Hisham barging into strikers as usual,Nordin screaming for the balls as usual,Kai passing the ball to everyone except Aki as usual,Ayyub scoring as usual and myself twisting my knee again,as usual.

The trip once again bonded the players as we had wanted.That was the crucial element in such trips.The Thomas Veterans are in their 24th year.Hope we can emulate those history some time.

But to me the most important thing is the quality time we spent together melepak and berdiskusi. That was fun coz we got to discuss some serious matters and laughed at the good old jokes. Redbacks must remain like this, we take our soccer seriously but at the same time always treasure our beautiful redbacks brothers. Take care of one another. Shout out and guide one another, and at the end of the day, forget and forgive.

That’s what I’ve learnt during the trip to Kluang. And to Redbacks FC…I luv you.
