Our 3rd participation in the D2dSports league is drawing near, tentatively it will be starting as soon as next week. We’ll be playing a playoff with a third placed Div 4 team to determine our division for our next league.
With a major change in personnel from season 2, season 3 we did very well to shape ourself as a team to a respectable one. The changed proved to be a blessing in disguised as Redbacks now became a team that are true to the objective of playing weekend soccer. With the inclusion of new and young players(you know who you are), we are well balanced to become one of the feared team in division 3, especially the title contender teams, as they know we are not as easy team as they had played early in the league. With the blending of young and veteran Redbacks manage to conjure out a winning formula or rather formation that proven to have a devastating effect whenever we took the field. Although the new players were young, the quality of play and attitude displayed are very matured and delightful on and off the field, that’s what Sunday footie is all about. Play our hearts out to our level best, hope with continuity we’ll be bless with health and fitness. Win, Lose or Draw Redbacks still brothers and smile at the end of the day. The seasoned players, again you know who you are, you are the backbone of Redbacks, without you there’s no Redbacks FC.
Players nursing injuries, hope this hiatus given the necessary time to recuperate and healed. Keep fit and do find time to condition yourself before taking the field for the 3rd season footie. It’s time fired up those passion and prepare to get out from the monotonous life without Sunday footie. Hope we can start with the way we ended season 2.
